- In 2003, first PanIIT USA alumni conference was held in Silicon Valley conference where Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft was the keynote speaker.
- The conference is facilitated by PanIIT USA (PanIIT Inc.), the umbrella organization of IIT alumni in the United States
- Since 2003 this conference has been held every couple of years.
- It is run by an all-volunteer team of IITians, celebrating successes in corporate leadership, as entrepreneurs and encouraging giving back.
